Job Description

Business Daily Group is recruiting a brilliant copywriter for our growing marketing services team. This represents a fantastic opportunity for a creative writer at Business Daily Group, one of the leading and most innovative marketing and media businesses with facilities management and rail interests.

As our new Copywriter, you’ll be part of every function of marketing at BDG. You will work in close collaboration with the marketing and digital teams as regards interesting website and print magazine content, including collateral for social media, ad campaigns, and the like.

Such a person should be fast at learning, flexible in writing style, and used to working with short deadlines.

About You

First of all, innovation is at the very core of the job: even though a brief is given, a large part of the creative work is precisely about the generation of ideas. You will have to think of new, informative, and involving ways of interpreting a brief for the message to grab the attention of the audience and speak to it clearly.

It is important to be able to take criticism about your work in a positive manner. Besides, a sense of humor never goes amiss with thick skin!

It also helps you to keep abreast of the news, views, and current trends in both the facilities management and rail industries. To the best of your ability, ensure you have the heads up and know what is hot now and what will be next.

Primary Responsibilities

  • You should be prepared to execute briefs in all the appropriate channels and maintain brand equity and guidelines in your executions.
  • You will be expected to work in conjunction with the Marketing Department and any other department required and to deliver great solutions on brief and on time. Hugely often.
  • Writing and overseeing content on the website (making sure SEO tactics are desirably effective)
  • Writing copy for social media ads and marketing campaigns
  • Writing content for newsletters to send out to client mailing lists
  • Interviewing clients and writing press releases that the campaigns went out for.
  • Producing marketing brochure copy
  • Proofread copies by my colleagues


  • Be effective in working with a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, high volume, aggressive deadlines, and short lead times.
  • Then always raise the bar in creativity, writing fresh copy that appeals to your target audience and convinces them to act.
  • Vary voice, style, and other characteristics of a voice comfortably in a manner that is demanded by the industry, company, or target audience.
  • Update knowledge on the latest communication trends and issues pertaining to the client’s industry.
  • Stay up-to-date with adopted style guides and include brand voice to ensure a consistent message is provided.
  • Be experienced in the use of WordPress CMS.
  • Make sure you have great social media knowledge (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
  • Experience in writing in the railway, construction, energy, manufacturing, or FM-related industries would be a benefit.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
