These terms govern your use of jobularity.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you and Jobularity, the operator of jobularity.com (“we”, “us”, “the site”). They apply to everyone who uses the site, whether you read a guide, browse the job board, register an account, or post a listing.

2. What the site provides

Jobularity provides two things: published career guides, and a job board where employers can advertise openings and candidates can apply. We provide the platform. We are not a party to any employment relationship, application, interview, or offer that results from it.

3. Guides are information, not advice

Everything we publish is general information for a general audience. It is not legal, immigration, tax, financial, medical, or professional career advice for your specific circumstances, and using it does not create any advisory relationship between us. Hiring practice varies by country, industry, and employer — what works in one context may be wrong in another. Where a decision matters, get advice from someone qualified who knows your situation.

We make no promise that following our guides will get you an interview, an offer, a raise, or a job. Outcomes depend on factors we neither control nor observe.

4. Using the site

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or to post anything unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, or deceptive.
  • Post a job listing that is not a genuine opening, that charges applicants a fee, that is a pyramid or multi-level marketing scheme, or that exists to harvest personal data.
  • Impersonate any person or company, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-download content or listings from the site by automated means without our written permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its servers, or another user’s account.
  • Upload malware, or interfere with the operation or security of the site.
  • Republish substantial parts of our guides elsewhere without permission (see section 8).

We may suspend or remove any account or listing that breaches these terms, without notice where the breach is serious.

5. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping your password secure. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You must be at least 16 years old to register.

6. For employers posting listings

  • You confirm that any role you post is a genuine vacancy and that you are authorised to advertise it.
  • Listings must comply with applicable employment and anti-discrimination law in the jurisdiction of the role.
  • You are responsible for the content of your listing, including salary information, requirements, and how you describe the role.
  • Candidate data you receive through the site must be used only to assess that application, and handled in line with applicable data protection law.
  • We may edit, decline, or remove any listing that breaches these terms or that we consider misleading.

Paid listings

Where a posting package is purchased, the fee, duration, and inclusions are those shown at the point of purchase. Fees are payable in advance. If we remove a listing for breach of these terms, no refund is due. Otherwise, our refund position is set out in our refund policy.

7. For candidates

Listings on the job board are supplied by the employers who post them. We take reasonable steps to keep obviously fraudulent listings off the site, but we do not verify every employer, vacancy, salary figure, or claim. You should exercise the same judgement you would with any job advertisement.

A genuine employer will never ask you to pay to apply, pay for training or equipment before you start, receive and forward money, or send identity documents before a formal offer. If a listing on our board does any of these things, stop and report it to us through the contact page.

8. Intellectual property

The guides, page designs, graphics, and other material we publish are owned by Jobularity or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright.

You may read, print, and share our pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, and quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link to the original page. You may not republish whole guides, sell our content, or use it to train a commercial model, without our written permission.

Content you post — a job listing, a profile, a CV — remains yours. By posting it you give us a licence to host, display, and distribute it on the site for the purpose of operating the service.

9. Third-party links and advertising

The site contains links to other websites and displays advertising served by third parties. We do not control those sites or ads, do not endorse them by linking or displaying them, and are not responsible for their content, products, or practices. Any dealing you have with a third party found through the site is between you and them.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw, or change any part of the site, including individual guides and job board features, without notice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of employment, income, opportunity, data, or reputation, arising from your use of the site or reliance on anything published on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Indemnity

If you breach these terms — in particular by posting unlawful or misleading content — you agree to cover the reasonable losses, costs, and claims we incur as a result.

13. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

14. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of any protection you have under the mandatory law of your own country of residence.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms, reports of abusive listings, and copyright complaints should be sent through our contact page.
